A Revolution in on-site bottle smashing
A Revelation for hospitality venues

  • Lower Collection Costs
  • Simple and Convenient to use
  • Reduced Environmental Impact
  • Reduced Site Waste Storage
  • Increased Waste Storage Flexibility
  • Less Waste Contamination
  • Less Collection Noise

Why is glass waste collection so expensive?

Empty bottles mainly consist of air so collected as waste, hospitality venues are predominantly paying to have air removed from their premises.
Because empty bottles take up so much space, sites either have a large number of bins collected weekly or, if space is limited, fewer bins collected more frequently; either way it’s expensive.
In addition, because the truck load is similarly limited by the volume of bottles rather than the weight, the collection operation is much less efficient than if only the glass was collected.

Disposing of glass waste in the form of empty bottles is inconvenient, expensive and inefficient.

Guess who’s paying for this inefficiency!

Cullet Collection saves you money -and more.

By converting waste glass bottles into cullet the same weight of glass is contained in less than a quarter of the volume. This will lead directly a number of benefits for the hospitality venue:

  • Halve glass waste collection costs.
  • Halve waste storage space.
  • Eliminate noisy collection of empty bottles –be a better neighbour.
  • Have spare capacity to handle excess waste bottles –no more overfull bins and bottles lying around.  •
  • Reduce your carbon footprint through improved collection efficiency.

Can’t justify the cost of a Bottle Smasher  –think again.

Until now bottle smashers have cost upwards of £2000 and only the largest venues have been able to make sufficient savings to justify their purchase/rental. Even in these cases bins have had to be filled with cullet to yield a return on the investment. At 200Kg weight bins are difficult to manoeuvre and many Collectors refuse to handle them.

The KK100 in-bin smasher changes everything

Ideally suited to venues producing up to ten 240Ltr bins of glass waste per week the KK100 represents a major advance in on-site bottle smashing cost-effectiveness.

  • At less than a third the cost of other bottle smashers, the KK100 is a profitable investment for venues with as few as four 240Ltr wheelie bins.
  • Located outside or indoors it sits within the footprint of an existing wheelie bin.
  • Operates directly into the wheelie bin, maximising ease of use and operator convenience.
  • Fully loaded bin limited to c100Kg ensures ease of handling, safe lifting and the widest choice of Collectors.
  • Fully loaded bins have capacity to cope with excess demand, delayed collections etc.
  • With hammer replacement costs of less than twenty pounds operating costs are minimal.
